This Little Pig.
I meant to be more timely with my blog this year, but it seems other events often derail my plans. Working on dummies and finished art pieces for competitions and webinars has pulled me away more than once. But every activity draws me closers to accomplishing goals.
One of the contests I entered I submitted an expounded version of the old nursery rhyme, Jack, who jumped over the candle stick. I never looked into the supposed reasoning for his actions, but came up with my own reasoning as to why someone would do such an unusual thing. It was fun thinking of different reasons for jumping, but weaving them all into my own storyline and rhyme scheme was more trying than fun. Creating visuals for any project is always enjoyable.
I look forward to seeing whether my creation caught the eye of the various judges who run the event, and then perhaps and editor’s eye. Until results are released I figured I’d play around with visuals for other old nursery rhymes, and This Little Pig came to mind.
This is a quick rendition of the little pig who went to market, if you can call him LITTLE. He looks rather portly if you ask me. Or would that be “Porkly?”

Revisit the old nursery rhymes, they are lilting and laughable.
