My Illustration of the Bronze Statue in Italy
This illustration was sketched from a bronze statue that was placed near the pool area at the Arrioto. I altered her kneeling position to make her look as though she was bathing in nature. The statue was kneeling within a bowl like fountain shape. I tried to take my sketch book with me as many places as I could. First and Last of Italy – Open Air Painting
This was the very first open air painting I did in Italy. I walked about one block up from the Arrioto (block, they don't really have blocks. This is the plein air watercolor "Giovanni's Tower" I was working on when when the young man in the truck pulled up and showed me the pictures on his phone of his artwork. Eagle Take-off – Oil Painting
This Eagle is the final oil painting on linen paper in the bird series. Painted from a couple shots I took while fishing in Canada. When the fish aren't biting I'm snapping away. I love taking photos of wildlife and turning them into beautiful oil paintings.
