Journeys in Life SCBWI's Art Narrative Award contest this past year was centered on ground breaking journeys, since it was the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission's moon landing. While that was quite the ground breaking journey, from the Earth to the face of the Moon, I was thinking of journeys a little more relatable. Growth Yes, personal growth is a little more of a relatable crossing for the average joe or jane than an epic journey into outer space. Captain Hook’s Crocodile
Hard headed wretch One month, here in my dining room, a crocodile appeared. He came out of nowhere to haunt me.Though I admit, I went looking for him.The parts and pieces I collected would eventually taunt me."Assemble my bones!" Plodding being the key word here as I hadn't run in four months. ATV's had run here before. I'm sure they made quicker work of it than I. Their drivers would have had a different purpose than I however. They were no doubt trying to get somewhere. I, on the other hand, was trying to stay here. Here in this … [Read more...] about North Woods Nature
