Batter up! It's baseball season again, and sometimes I wonder how it came from being just a backyard game to such a big world forum. My mother remembers kicking and hitting cans around in her youth. In honor of Mother's Day I am posting this oil scetch that is actually a Grandmother, Grandson representation. A couple things that I've come across lately have sparked an interest in colored marker art. I'm an occassional thrift shop browser and about a month ago I purchased a book addressing a marker/colored pencil approach for architectural and landscape drawing that would be of interest to designers and artists. As I was looking through an old portfolio of my work for something to post I came across this line drawing I had done from a photo I took of the lambs I use to own. My father had purchased a small herd when I was younger eager to see what type of livestock would do well on the small acreage of our farm.
